also have the right to make their own choices and have freedom of thought.

1.1.2) Justice means being fair. People have the right to fair treatment and to have that there
should be justice for everyone. The rights of one person or group are balanced against
one another. There should always be equality, impartiality and reciprocity. You
should treat others the way you want to be treated.

1.1.3) Confidentiality means that when someone tells you something personal, you will not
share their personal information with anyone. If you share something with you in
confidentiality you may not share that information. Sometimes you are compelled by
law to reveal information that has been discussed.

1.2) A trusting relationship with the learner can be described as a meaningful link
between the learner’s world and the educator’s world. The teacher counsellor needs to
be non-condemning, non-judgemental and non-affirmative. If the educator becomes
