INTRODUCTION
In recent years, farm attacks have become a growing concern in the KwaZulu-Natal
midlands, with numerous incidents of violence and robbery reported. This case study
highlights the frequency and severity of these attacks, with a family being tied up and their
home ransacked by armed men, and another woman being left with serious injuries after
being attacked with a bush knife. The impact of these attacks on the community is evident,
