Analyze the information in the class summary. What are your learners’ strengths and weaknesses?
Note: Cover all learners. (max. 100 words)

In the class summary I have analysed the strengths and weakness of the students and I found out that the strength of the students is reading
because students in the reading exam most have a score band of 7.0 higher than any skill in the class summary. However, there are students who
have a score band of 6.0 in reading it’s where the students’ strength lies. The student’s weakness is in listening and writing because some
students have a score band of 5.0 the lowest in the class summary.

Which two skills have you chosen to teach in this lesson? Why?
Note: State which part of the exam you will focus on for each skill, e.g., Speaking Part 1. (minimum 150 words)

In this lesson, I've chosen to focus on teaching two crucial skills: listening and writing. My decision stems from the observation that students tend
to struggle more with these two skills compared to others, which becomes evident in their consistently lower scores, typically falling within the 5.0
band. Students on these skills have a score band of 5.0 respectively the lowest score band in the summary of skills presented and there are no
other skills where the students have a score band of 5.0 other than the two skills. Notably, this score is the lowest among all the assessed skills in
the summary.

To address this challenge effectively, I will be targeting Listening Part 3, which involves comprehending conversations in an educational setting.
This skill is particularly important as it reflects real-life situations where students need strong listening comprehension abilities, such as
understanding academic lectures and discussions.

Similarly, writing is another area that demands attention. It has also been identified as a weak point among students, resulting in lower band
scores. In my lesson, I will be specifically focusing on Task 1, which requires students to describe visual information. This visual information can
take various forms, including graphs, tables, charts, or diagrams. In this particular instance, we will be focusing on describing a bar and pie chart.
This task is a vital component of the writing section and demands clear and concise data presentation in the student's own words.

,Which lesson topic have you chosen? Why? (minimum 100 words)

In my lesson plan I have chosen the topic Education: Challenges in Education as a topic where I will base my lesson around. I have chosen
education as a topic lesson for my lesson because education has a lot of authentic materials to help me and the students to teach the two skills.
Education is an interesting and vital topic as is relevant to the students and the society. They can easily relate to it and draw a lot of interest and
enjoy the lesson while also improving the two skills which are a weakness to them.
