You have two DPR3711 portfolio options, namely the project option and the
internship option. Choose the project option or the internship option. For the
project option, you will have to complete nine (5) assessment activities. For the
internship option, you will have to generate portfolio of evidence during your
internship. Your portfolio should have a cover page; a declaration page; a table of
contents; an introduction; a body (assignment content); a conclusion; in-text
references; and a list of the sources you have consulted. All assessment activities
are compulsory.
1. PROJECT OPTION
The portfolio comprises five (5) assessment activities and you must complete all of
them. The activities cover public relations areas such as public relations research;
public relations planning; media relations; event management; and production. For
more information on these areas, read learning units 1 to 4.
Learning unit 1 : Public relations research
Portfolio activity 1: Media monitoring
As a public relations practitioner, you should monitor all media coverage in national
and international news, including traditional and social media such as blogs, Twitter
and Facebook, and even platforms such as Hello Peter.
· Collect 15 tweets on the Twitter account of an organisation of your choice.
