Here you need to include:
Why you have chosen this syllabus type-
I chose to use the multi-syllabus because I realised that the student would need to cover a
variety of skills, topics, structures, and vocabulary to reach his English language goals. I
will need the help of multiple materials and resources to put together lesson plans for this
student so it makes sense to use the multi-syllabus, this will allow me to choose activities
and materials that the student will find fun and engaging. The student provided me with a
very specific list of topics that interest him and using this syllabus means I can personalise
the lesson according to his needs and interest.
Why you have chosen the topic(s) covered-
In the interview and needs questionnaire I discovered the specific topics that the student
was interested in and which areas of the language and skills he wanted to work on. The
other information provided by the student allows me to create lessons that will benefit
and engage the student, this will keep him motivated to follow through with all his lessons
and progress. Alberto has strong extrinsic and intrinsic motives for learning English, one of
them been his goal of finding a Job in England or getting promoted in at the company he
works for in Spain, adding in some business concepts could help him in this area, things
like writing a professional email and interview role play and questions can be useful to
him.
I have tried to pair and use as many of the skills and topics of interested to make engaging
lessons, the lessons are at an intermediate level but still push the student a bit further to
learn more and as the lessons progress it will present new challenges for Alberto, we will
however start out with casual conversation to ease him into the lesson from the
