Communication is the imparting of exchanging information by speaking, writing or using some
other medium of communication such as phones, listening, to the news from radio, television,
magazines and newspapers. Communication is a way of receiving and interpreting information
as well as reacting to it and send such message to others.

THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION

It is of course important that communication channels always strive to match the types of sensory

surely, in every conversation there should be a feedback which is crucial because if fosters control
over the process of message exchange and interact between people.
Human beings share their thoughts with other through sending and receiving message, however
they do so by talking and writing and its called communication. They can still communicate by
internet and through it one can acquire or share valuable information which can take us to the
world and brings the world to our door step. Telephones\ mobile phones can help us communicate
anywhere and at any time. There is a vast amount of information of communication that can take
place with a large number of people at a time such as newspapers, books, radio, television,
cinema and not used only to entertain but to spread knowledge, education and information.
Satellites are also means of communication since are in the space and picks up signals from any
place and relay\ transmit the signals to the other places.

COMMUNICATION METHODS AND TOOLS FOR THE DEAF
Children who are deaf or hard hearing use a variety of communication methods to send and
receive messages because every child is unique and different in their response to the techniques.
They have various methods of communication namely: oral method, cued speech method,
manual communication method, and total communication (TC) method.
ORAL METHOD
It is a communication through lip-reading and maximal use of a child residual hearing for the
development and production of speech which help such a learner in due coarse to be able to
communicate, more effectively with the hearing individuals.
CUED SPEECH METHOD
Facilitated lip-reading by having the speaker to use hand gestures while speaking to help the
listener to recognize the different between similar – looking sounds on the speaker’s lips.
MANUAL COMMUNICATION METHOD
