App
2. Read the questions carefully.
3. Answer all three questions in this question paper.
4. Number your answers exactly as the questions are numbered.
5. Start each question on a new page.
6. You may use a non-programmable calculator. Round off your answers to three
decimals, where necessary.
7. Show all your working details (calculations).
8. Write legibly and present your work neatly. (It is in your own interest to do so.)
9. Remember to complete and sign the honesty declaration and to attach it to your answer script.
10. Follow the next steps to upload your take-home examination answer script:
1. Go to myExams at https://myexams.unisa.ac.za/portal and log in with your myUnisa
credentials, that is, your student number and myUnisa password.
2. Click on the MIP2602 site.
3. Click on the eAssessment tool in the left navigation menu.
4. Once the eAssessment page has loaded, select the assessment for which you want to
upload the answer file by clicking on the link under the heading Assignment Title.
5. A new page will open. Scroll down to Submission.
6. Make sure all the pages of your answer file have been converted into a single PDF
document for uploading.
7. Under Attachments, click on the Choose File button to browse for the file on your
device.

8. Once you have attached your answer file, the name of the file, together with the file size
and an upload time stamp, will be displayed under Attachments.
9. Click on Honour Pledge before you submit your answer file if it appears on the screen.
You will not be able to submit the assessment if this checkbox has not been ticked.
10. When you are ready and satisfied that you have uploaded the correct answer file, click
on the Submit button to complete the submission process.
11. Once you have submitted your answer file, a confirmation message will appear on the
screen. Make a screen copy of the message or print the page for your records. This
message serves as proof that your answer file was submitted. A copy of this page will be
e-mailed to your myLife e-mail account.
NB: Your answer file must be in PDF. Also, your answer file should not be larger than 20 MB.
Additional instructions
1. Upload your answer script as a single PDF file (your answer script must not be password
protected or uploaded as a “read only” file).
2. Do not submit your answer script by e-mail.
3. Preview your submission (answer script) to ensure that it is legible and that you have
uploaded the correct file.
4. You may resubmit your answer script should the initial submission be unsatisfactory.
5. An answer script that is in the wrong file format will not be considered. An uncollated answer
script will also not be considered.
6. An incorrect answer script and/or a submission made through an unofficial examination
platform (including the Invigilator App) will not be marked, and no opportunity will be granted
for resubmission.
7. The mark awarded for an incomplete submission will be the final mark. No opportunity will be
granted for resubmission.
8. The mark awarded for an illegible scanned submission will be the final mark. No opportunity
will be granted for resubmission.
9. Only a submission made from your registered student account will be accepted.
10. Students who have not used invigilation or proctoring tools will be subjected to a
disciplinary process.
11. Students suspected of dishonest conduct during the examination will be subjected to
disciplinary processes. Unisa has zero tolerance for plagiarism and other forms of academic
dishonesty.
12. You have 30 minutes to submit your answer script after the official examination time. A
submission made after the official examination time will be rejected in terms of the
examination regulations and will not be marked.
13. If you experience network or load-shedding challenges during the official examination time,
you are advised to apply for an aegrotat within three days of the examination session. You
must include supporting evidence in your application.
14. If you experience technical difficulties during the official examination time, you should contact
