INTRODUCTION
Aggravated robbery has become a major concern in South Africa, with a significant increase
in incidents over the past decade. This rise in aggravated robbery has led to widespread fear
and insecurity among the population, and has become a pressing issue for law enforcement
and policymakers. In order to effectively address this problem, it is important to understand the
different types of robbers involved in these incidents. This essay will identify and discuss the
three types of robbers involved in aggravated robbery in South Africa, without the use of a
