Instructions (please read carefully):
1. Answer all questions.
2. The assignment should have a cover page, a declaration page, a table of contents,
an introduction, a body (assignment content), a conclusion, references in the text
and list of sources consulted.
3. Students must upload their answer scripts in a single PDF file (answer scripts must
not be password protected or uploaded as "read only" files).
4. NO e-mailed assignments will be accepted.
5. Students are advised to preview submissions (answer scripts) to ensure legibility
and that the correct answer script file has been uploaded.
6. Marks will be deducted for copying and pasting or plagiarism.
7. Students suspected of dishonest conduct will be subjected to disciplinary
processes. UNISA has a zero tolerance for plagiarism and/or any other forms of
academic dishonesty.
8. An assignment without a signed declaration form will not be marked and
therefore awarded a zero.
9. No late submissions will be allowed.

3. Using your years of experience working in an organisation, you may have some
understanding of the nature of organisations and the behaviour of its members. In your own
words, describe and discuss the manner in which the disciplines listed below were used in
understanding organisational behaviour. Provide examples to illustrate your answer.

4. Draw a structure for the directorate of the marketing department for MHUNTI PTY LTD. The
directorate is headed by a director of marketing, Dennis Goldberg. The director’s direct report
is a deputy director of marketing, Prudence Shivuri. Three marketing managers report to the
deputy director. Each manager has two direct reports who are at the level of a marketing
specialist. Clearly show each portfolio on the structure.
