Cranial nerves - ANS-12 pairs of nerves that carry messages to and from the brain
Gyrus (gyri) - ANS-convolutions (ridges) of the brain

Septum pellucidum - ANS-separates the 2 lateral ventricles of the cerebrum
Hypothalamus - ANS-brain region controlling the pituitary gland; located below the
thalamus (floor)
Thalamus - ANS-relays messages between lower brain centers and cerebral cortex;
made of 2 "ball-like" structures which meet in the middle (D)
