Gebore op 16 Junie 1981 in Blackheath, later verhuis na Eersterivier op die

bendegeweld groot geword, ‘n sterk tema wat in haar poësie voorkom. In
haar eerste gedigte as tienermeisie maak sy gebruik van ‘n direkte styl om
uitdrukking aan haar gevoelens en persoonlike ervarings te gee. Haar eerste
gepubliseerde gedigte het in 2005 verskyn in die bundel “Nuwe stemme 3”,
haar solodebuut in 2008 en haar tweede bundel in 2011. “Kamfer se werk
toon tematiese ooreenkomste met swart Afrikaanse poësie wat die volgende
betref: bruin identiteit in ‘n postapartheidskonteks, taal en identiteit,
marginalisering en werkersklasgemeenskappe.” (Botes 2012:251)
In die inhoud van hierdie opstel word drie van haar gedigte geanaliseer en
‘n bespreking van die belanrikste kenmerke van haar digkuns.
