2.1. General aims
To apply Mathematical principles.
To develop fluency in computation skills with the usage of calculations.
To use spatial skills and properties of shapes and objects to identity, pose and solve
problems creatively and critically.
The aim of Technical Mathematics is to apply the science of Mathematics to the Technical
field where the emphasis is on APPLICATION and not on abstract ideas.
2.2. Specific aims
Learners will be able to: Understand, explain, and calculate equation of a circle.
Determine the equation of the circle.
Solution
We are given r =√15
Substitute for r in the equation x 2+ y 2=r 2

So, the equation of the circle is x 2+ y 2=15
