To investigate the action of the enzymes involved in the digestion of proteins carbohydrates
and lipids.
INTRODUCTION
Digestion begins in the mouth. Here food is mechanically broken down into smaller parts and
mixed with saliva before swallowing starts. starch is decomposed by amylase and another
component of saliva is maltase, an enzyme catalyzing the catabolism of the disaccharide
maltose. assimilation also begins in the mouth. After food is thoroughly mixed with saliva
secretion then swallowing Process is initiated. involuntary peristaltic contractions transport the
food along the esophagus to the stomach.
METHOD
The method used in this experiment can be found in the practical guide (Fourie, 2021: 182-188)

Emulsification of fat could not take place as a result there's no Digestion.
