Jimmy’s parents, Mr and Ms Thomas’ consent was obtained before the consultation to
provide Vista Clinic with an accurate account of the discussions during our consultation. This
report is to be kept strictly confidential.
Reason for consultation: Jimmy’s parents believe that he has ADHD despite being told
otherwise by professionals such as his paediatrician.
Purpose of consultation: Helping Mr and Miss Thomas distinguish between symptoms of
ADHD and other sensory processing issues as well as developing a treatment plan for Jimmy.
Consultation format: The consultation entailed a 60-minute interview between Jimmy’s
parents and me.
1. Description of the client
Jimmy’s parents are both currently in their early 40’s and well kept. They seem very healthy,
emotionally stable and financially capable of addressing Jimmy’s situation via treatment.
They have been married for 20 years, and Jimmy is their only child. However, they are very
stressed about Jimmy's diagnosis as they do not know whose opinion to trust. They are
