QUESTION 1
1.1.
Energy is the ability to do work, and it exists in various forms that can transform from one form to
another. Here, we define and explain key types of energy along with real-world examples:
1. Kinetic Energy:
Kinetic energy is the energy of motion. It depends on the mass and velocity of an object.
The faster an object moves, and the heavier it is, the more kinetic energy it has. The
mathematical expression for kinetic energy is KE=1/2mv2, where m is mass and v is velocity.
Example: A moving car or a cyclist pedaling down the road possesses kinetic energy. A
speeding train or flowing river also illustrates this form of energy.
