This paper consists of three (3) pages.
Instructions:
1. This is a closed book take-home examination
2. You have four (4) hours to write this timetabled take-home examination on the 14 May 2024
at the exam will be start 12:45 and at 15:45 will close.
3. This examination consists of FOUR (4) LONG ESSAY-TYPE QUESTIONS. You must ANSWER
ANY TWO (2) QUESTIONS OF YOUR CHOICE.
4. When numbering your answers ensure that each corresponds to the number of the question as it
appears on the question paper.
5. Please ensure that you check (‘sign’) the ‘Honesty Declaration’ text box. If you fail to do so, you will
not be able to upload your examination answer file.
6. Ensure that the answer file containing your responses is saved as a SINGLE FILE in PDF format
only. Do not encrypt the answer file with a security code/ password.
7. Hand written scanned pages must be saved as a SINGLE document and converted to PDF format
only. (Refer to the Student Guide on ‘How to Scan and Prepare handwritten Exams’). Before scanning,
ensure that all pages are numbered in the correct sequence.
8. Ensure that the answer file whether TYPED or SCANNED does not exceed the stipulated 20MB
limit, otherwise it will not upload.
9. The examination answer file can ONLY be SUBMITTED via the MyExams site on the Moodle site.
10. Ensure that the answer file is completely closed when uploading, otherwise it may get ‘corrupted’.
11. Preview the file before uploading to ensure that you uploaded the correct file.
12. If any hint of PLAGIARISM is detected, the necessary disciplinary action will be taken against you.
13. Please ensure that you submit the examination answer file on the scheduled due date and time.

14. No e-mailed scripts will be accepted. No late submissions will be accepted.
15. This examination will use the invigilator app proctoring tool, therefore, make sure that you
have familiarised yourselves with all necessary and relevant information regarding the tool.

2. The QR code is on the third page of this exam paper. You should scan the QR Code (or use the
exam access code) as soon as you have downloaded your question paper during the 15-minute download
window before the official exam start time per the timetable. You can only scan the QR code for a limited
time after the commencement time of the assessment and it should therefore be scanned as soon as
possible to start the invigilation.
3. Please take note that you can only scan the QR code once. Make sure you are ready to start the
assessment when you scan the QR Code.
4. Keep the Invigilator app open on your cell phone during the assessment. You are not allowed to leave
or minimize the application.
