FOR EACH OF THE FOLLOWING 50 OBJECTIVE-ITEMS
CHOOSE THE MOST APPROPRIATE ANSWER AND MARK
YOUR ANSWERS AGAINST NUMBERS 1-50.
Please read the following scenario and then answer questions 1-6:
The dictator that ruled a country for many years finally stepped down
and a new government was elected. During the reign of the dictator,
farming activities virtually came to a standstill because land was
given to friends and family of the dictator who did not have the skills
to farm. Sustainable farming was not practiced in this country during
the dictator’s reign, except for some livestock farming. Boys were kept
out of school to herd the livestock. A patriarchal system in the country
resulted in non-inclusive educational opportunities for girls and
women. Empowerment of all females in the country was therefore a
problem. Unemployment was a problem in this country and therefore
the people were very poor. As a result, many people in this country
were suffering from hunger. A lack of provision of safe water was a
problem in the cities which resulted in poor sanitation facilities. There
was a high incidence of diarrhoeal diseases also because of the poor
sanitation.
The new government promised the rural communities renewable solar
electricity producing facilities. The building of this facility was
expedited because a rich country promised to partner with this low-
income country for the building of the mentioned power plant.
