Depth of Reflection
Introduction
This module has been a transformative journey, reshaping my understanding of
educational leadership and management. Initially, my perspective was limited to viewing
leadership as a position of authority and management as a set of operational tasks.
However, as I progressed through the module, my perspective evolved significantly,
leading to deeper insights and a more comprehensive appreciation of these
interconnected concepts.
Reflection on My Journey
One of the most significant shifts in my understanding has been the realization that
effective leadership is not defined by authority alone but by the ability to inspire,
influence, and empower others. Through the module, I was introduced to
transformational leadership, which emphasizes creating a shared vision and fostering
trust among stakeholders. This was a profound realization as I now understand that
leadership in education requires collaboration with teachers, students, and the
community to achieve meaningful change.
