1. Do the adults share responsibility and work as a team, or does each person
work alone? (Page 10)
The adults work together as a team, sharing the work load and obligations as this better benefit the
school and the child as a whole.
2. Do the adults get on well together and help each other, or is there conflict and
unhappiness? (Page 10)
We are fortunate to have a very good dynamic and so the adults get along well for the most part
with the occasional disagreement.
3. Do the children play together cooperatively most of the time, or are there many
fights and arguments? (Page 10)
The children play together well most of the time. There are not a lot of fights or disruptions. We
have a lot of constant adult supervision which help’s and we only have occasional spats between
children.
4. Do the children help with setting out equipment, packing away, and cleaning
up? (Page 10)
The children assist with setting out of the equipment as this is done at the end of the day and it
encourages them to learn responsibility. Children tidy up all the toys/stationery used and know to
clean up their tables after snack or painting etc.
5. How much time do your children spend freely playing with other children?
(Page 10)
One hour in the morning on arrival and another hour for outside break time.
6. Could they spend more time? (Page 11)
The full day children could spend more time playing freely in the afternoon after snack time.
7. If so, how can this be arranged? (Page 11)
This could be arranged by completing afternoon activities earlier so that the children can
enjoy some extra free play time in the late afternoon before going home.
8. How much time do you spend doing things with and talking to your children
each day? (Page 11)
I spend the entire day talking to the children, helping them with activities, talking about
the theme and what we are doing, asking open ended questions and encouraging
exploring during outside play. I am constantly engaging with the children from when I
arrive in the morning at 7-30am until I leave at 5-30pm (with an 90 minute break in
between when kids are sleeping)
