Instructions:
• This is a closed-book, take-home examination.
• The examination paper consists of compulsory questions.
• Please read all the questions before you attempt them. Each question has a specific
mark allocated for.
• The total number of marks for this examination paper is 100 marks.
• The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
• Commit to the Honesty Declaration at the start of the examination.
• Plagiarism is not permitted. Any student, who plagiarises, is in violation of the
Student Disciplinary Code.
• The answers to this examination may only be submitted online on the myExams
platform.

• It is compulsory for students to use the Invigilator cell phone application for the full
duration of this examination. This means that the Invigilator app must be on, even
when you are working offline.
• Compile your answer file offline and then upload it on the myExams platform.
Additional student instructions on uploading the answer file.
• If you complete the answer file using Microsoft Word, convert it to a single PDF file,
before uploading it on the myExam platform.
• Check that your answer file is not password protected or uploaded as a “read only”
file.
• No e-mailed scripts will be accepted.
• Handwritten paper-based answer sheets must be SCANNED and CONVERTED
into a single PDF document, before being uploaded on the myExam platform. Check
that your submission (answer script) is legible.
• Navigate to the UNISA website by entering the correct web address into the browser
of your choice. Please enter the correct “Username” and “Password” on the login
screen.
• Once you have logged in, you will be presented with a dashboard. Click on the exam
drop-down bar. Select the correct assessment. When ready to submit, open the
Take-Home Assignment assessment again and click on the Add Submission button.
Note: You have 15 minutes after the due time to submit your script on the myExams
platform. When that is done, upload your script on the Invigilator app. Click on the
Add Submission button. Check (click on) the acknowledgment check box upload
your answer document, and then click on the Save changes button.
Instructions for the use of the Invigilator cellphone application
• Ensure you are connected to the internet to log into the Invigilator app.
• If you encounter difficulty in scanning the QR code, you can, alternatively, enter the
Exam Access Code, below the QR code, to start the invigilation.
• Unless otherwise specified by your institution, note that you can only scan this QR
code once. If your assessment has multiple online sections, tests, or attempts, you
should NOT finish the invigilation until your entire assessment has been completed.
• Only scan the QR code when the assessment formally commences.
• The QR code is only scannable for a limited time and should therefore be scanned
as soon as possible to start the invigilation. The Exam Access Code: f2110350

• Once the QR code is scanned, ensure your media volume is turned up and place
your smart phone next to you. The Invigilator app will notify you with a notification
beep when you are required to action a request, which you should then perform.
• We recommend that you keep your smartphone on charge for the duration of the
assessment.
• If you only have one device, you may access your assessment in the application by
pressing the Access Exam button, in the top right corner of your app.
• Keep the Invigilator app open on your cellphone for the full duration of the
assessment. You are not allowed to minimise or leave the app.
• Ensure you are connected to the internet to commence the invigilation and at the
end of the assessment. No internet connection is required during the assessment.
• You must adhere to the assessment time limit communicated to you by Unisa, as
the time displayed in the Invigilator app could differ from the time allocated to
complete your assessment.
• You can click the Finish Assessment button in the app if you finish your assessment
early instructions on how to access and upload the examination paper

• Students are required to download their EQP via the myExams platform.
