• Please use a dictionary when completing assignments. Overall, you lost
more marks through poor spelling than sentence structure mistakes.
• Please note basic mistakes: not ending a negative sentence with a “nie”
and not using the correct version of the article “’n”. The only correct
version is ’n, not n or ń or ň
• Please note that certain words must be written with diacritics: se / sê and
hoe / hoë – by not using the diacritic you are changing the meanings of
these words.
• Answers written word-for-word from the study guide, or answers taken
from the guide with minimal changes (i.e. one or two words swapped or
changed, or rewritten in a different tense) received no marks.
• Answers that required a source to be cited (see Assignment) but had no
