preserving food, keep warm & cultivate the land.
Cave painting (art) began in the era of speech and language.
Later they transitioned from hunting to agriculture.
1.6 The age of writing
Record graphics started with cave painting.
They recorded customs, traditions, ceremonies in the painting.
The earliest form of writing: Cuneiform & Hieroglyphics, Papyrus, animal ski
parchment paper & Paper.

Marked the start of the modern world.
Literacy came within reach of masses.
The social significance of printing is that the spread of books:
Were able to share knowledge
The thinking was freed from the restriction of church
