This essay is about the evolution of Baz Luhrmann’s directorial style through an analysis of his cinematic language, his storytelling techniques and his belief in a ‘theatrical cinema”. This essay discusses how Baz Luhrmann reminds the audience that they are watching a film and non-real story through the use of film techniques.
