AFL1501
ASSIGNMENT 6 PORTFOLIO 2024
UNIQUE NO.
DUE 11 NOVEMBER 2024
, 1. Introduction: Who I Am and What This Assessment is About
My name is ___________________. In this assessment, I’ll share insights
gained throughout the AFL1501 module, examining how the course has
influenced my understanding of language, identity, interpersonal
relationships, and Ubuntu. I will revisit my initial portfolio activity, comparing
my perspectives then and now, and show how these have evolved through
my learning journey. Additionally, I’ll provide a detailed family tree tracing my
lineage on both my father’s and mother’s sides and discuss terms of address
in various South African languages. This reflection also includes an analysis
of the Black Mambas anti-poaching unit and their role in conservation, along
with a reflection on the cultural significance of traditional healers, African
wildlife, and Ubuntu.
2. Screenshot and Reflection on First Portfolio Activity:
Insert a screenshot of your First Portfolio Activity.
Rewrite this activity, explaining what you’ve learned and how your perspective
has shifted. For example, if you initially focused on language solely as a
means of communication, you could now explore its role in shaping social
structures, personal identity, and community values.
3. Family Tree Graphic:
I’ll create a family tree graphic for you. Please provide any names or
relationships you’d like included as far back as you can trace on both paternal
and maternal sides. Alternatively, you could describe the relationships, and I’ll
arrange them accurately in a diagram.
4. Table of Terms of Address in South African Languages:
