This paper consists of 6 pages.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Read these instructions carefully to ensure that you meet the requirements of each question.
2. This question paper contains TWO essay questions. Choose ONE question ONLY. Each
essay should not be more than 500 words in length (approximately 1 ½ to 2 pages per essay).
Write down only the question number (e.g., Question One) and your answer. There is no need
to provide a title for your essay.
3. Pay attention to the following aspects when you answer one of the questions:
• Content
• Structure
• Language and style
• Citations and referencing
4. Use the checklist provided to make sure that you have answered all the questions. Copy the
checklist and declaration and paste it at the beginning of your script.
5. Submit the following as part of your portfolio: the completed checklist, the plagiarism
declaration, and your answers.
6. When you have completed this portfolio, save everything as one PDF file and upload it using
the myModules platform under the ‘Assessment 3’ section of the ENG1503 site.
7. In the case of any cheating or plagiarism, no marks will be allocated.
8. NO LATE EXAMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. SUBMIT YOUR EXAMINATION
BEFORE THE SUBMISSION SYSTEM CLOSES AT 13H00, 23 OCTOBER 2024.
9. Pay attention to the announcements on the ENG1503 site during the examination session.
This platform will be used to communicate any urgent information you should be aware of.
10. If the reference links to the articles do not work, you may access the articles from the
ENG1503 module site. An announcement has been posted with the attachments of ALL the
articles.
